Victor Vega Garcia ,
Solo bass player

Victor Vega Garcia was born in Spain on 1983. He studied double bass in Palma de Mallorca with the teacher Yana Dimitrova in the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears. In 2002 he moved to Amsterdam and he coursed the Bachelor Degree in the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with the double bass teacher Peter Stotijn (Residentie Orkest) and violone with Margaret Urquhart. Currently he follows lessons in Berlin with Janne Saksala (Berliner Philharmoniker).

As orchestral player he has collaborated with some of the best orchestras in Spain and The Netherlands as Het Gelders Orkest (Arhnem), Residentie Orkest (The Hague), Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest (Amsterdam) or the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana (Valencia). Presently he holds a double bass position in the GMJO (Gustav Mahler Jugend Orchester).

In chamber music he has perform as well with very well known ensembles as the OCIM (Orquestra de Cambra Illa de Menorca) or the Nieuw Sinfonietta (Amsterdam). Since 2006 he is the solo bass player of the Ensemble Ziggurat.
